Front-end Developer


Sustainalytics is seeking a talented Front-End Developer with advanced web design and development skills to evolve or high functioning, client facing, and internal, products and platform technology. Expertise using common web development frameworks (HTML/CSS/Javascript/Bootstrap/AngularJS) is required. Responsible for providing production-ready code on all ongoing projects while gaining deep knowledge on digital product design and related company processes. Full interaction with stakeholders to help articulate requirements and feedback. Oversee, assist, and train junior specialists.


  • 5+ years of experience in responsive web development using HTML/JavaScript.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical or design-related discipline; or equivalent in experience.
  • Solid understanding of modern front-end architectures and processes.
  • Responsive Design and how realize it through HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, LESS/SASS, and jQuery.
  • Strong JavaScript fundamentals (ES5): OO JavaScript and design patterns and exceptional debugging skills.
  • Significant experience with the Angular framework.
  • Understanding of APIs and JSON/XML data formats.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Working knowledge of user interface design patterns and user-centered design methodologies.

  • Translate designs and mockups into fully functioning features using JavaScript and HTML/CSS.
  • Constant Quality Assurance testing to ensure operational stability.
  • Identify problems and devise elegant solutions.
  • Take a user-centered approach and rapidly test and iterate your solutions.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and stakeholders.
  • Create product prototypes.
  • Actively contribute to the company design system from a technical point of view.
