Editorial Operations Assistant (Remote & full-time)


The InfoQ editorial team is looking for a junior staff member to support the Editorial Operations team and meet the Editorial department’s objectives in accordance with the company objectives. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get early stage career experience in a fast-paced technical media role working remotely. This is a long-term contract position. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, extremely strong English, and a good working knowledge of HTML. Experience with Google Docs and YouTrack would be an advantage, but not required as full job training will be given. The editorial team is a small group (currently 4 full-time staff) so there will be an opportunity to shape the role around your particular skills. Our purpose: InfoQ’s purpose is to facilitate the spread of knowledge and innovation in enterprise software development through conferences and online content exchange.

Computer skills:

  • Must be adept in use of current computer technologies: MS Office/ Google Docs (particularly Excel/spreadsheets and Word, PDF), email
  • Good HTML knowledge


To be considered you must:

  • Have the ability to attend weekly ‘stand-up’ calls and status meetings via video conference
  • Have a home office or similar arrangement from where you can work on a daily basis with a reliable internet connection (>6mbps)
  • Be analytical and attentive to details
  • Be based in Romania
